Wloclawek

Eventually even this train had reached its destination, Wloclawek. Brief chat with local taxi drivers and I am on the way to book in into local hotel. Morning breakfast, train ticket to ... somewhere. In fact when I approached clerk for a third time got a right ticket, as I changed my plans instantly.

When I realised that I had some 15 minutes to spare, decided to roll of the platform and warm up. This way I stopped at the local ambulance station, Pogotowie Ratunkowe. Where by a chance I met... a father of my close friend Pawel.

We chatted for some time, had my tea meanwhile my train left though no panic as I had many to catch, anyway.

Train to nowhere

When I decided to leave Toruń, directed my team towards train station where my morale out sudden hit the bottom.
Neither weather was helpful as drizzle was so consistent and a prospect of camping somewhere rough in this condition. Then on the way to Toruń main train station I was struck by the words:  Overcome evil with good*.  Flocked with passengers, who were leaving town after long weekend. All but me had a destination.
Among fellow passengers I felt so lonely. You could feel that energy. Everyone had some to hug and to say goodbye. Only me and Surly did not now where to go. Then out of the blue. Mirek. Security guard /usually army officer/ stopped by me and gave me his time. Only couple of words and my spirit was high enough to spot a train waiting to departure towards ... Wloclawek.
By a skin of my teeth managed to board this train. I could made of use of weak WiFi signal while searching for accommodation. Unfortunately none of the found host responded positively to my request.
Never mind! I was on the go and  there was a light and warmth:-)

Donught and a woolf

When I left Last Mancha and strolled cobbled and rain washed streets of an old town of Toruń, decided to stop at local confectionery shop where friendly girls recommended freshly made doughnuts.
Tempted. Yummy! What a doughnut. I let myself to chat freely with the staff as well as costumers. Although not everyone enjoyed the atmosphere of a local confectionery.
The woolf came out of ordinary looking block. Instantly. Customers enjoying their tea at nearby table left the premise. Girls serving hid themselves behind the counter and glass panel, which now made a sense to me.
What about me. I stood my ground and withstand this storm of negative energy*.
Then after the storm, sun came out and warmed up this confectionery shop, as you could see girls posing with smiling moment after the storm:-)

There is always someone.

La Mancha

Thankfuly to Mirek, Surly was having cosy place to rest whereas I could explore an old town on foot.
Stopped for a lunch at local bistro La Mancha, serving Moroccan  cuisine. I opted for a tagine with chicken, an intersting option.

Mirek a helpful angel

I was driven by sheer luck, when I approached a carpark marshal, Mirek. Who was so kind to my request of securing my bike. Surly was stoved in save and sound place when I could on foot explore an old town of To run.

On the way to Toruń

On that Saturday, through dense forest and damp suburbs of Bydgoszcz crossed the river  Vistula by Fordon. Then battling unpleasant  rainy condition somehow reached Toruń.
Stopped and prayed for a brief moment at the road side monument dedicated to father Jerzy Popieluszko murdered by secret service of communist regime ruling Poland until 1989

Torun

My plan to visit my old friends Aga and Toru did not work, as my unexpected visit collided with theirs visit to Zywiec, South of Poland.
Therefore I opted to stay in a local hotel as an option of rough camping somewhere in the dark and damp condition soften my spirit.
The hotel room marvellous, just that couple banging all night made me for a moment jealous.
Morning. Solitary clonk of high hills anonsed a new day.
What I thought was Vistula in fact was only Wooden Port , Port Drzewny according to Tomek and Agnieszka
